To be is to Weave Concert Huis Perrekes
Huis Perrekes staat stil bij de grote momenten van waarheid en sluiten aan bij een lange traditie in Huis Perrekes waarin kunst en cultuur verweven zijn met het leven van elke dag.
Het uitgangspunt is het aanspreken, versterken en verbinden van ieders mogelijkheden met als finaal objectief de collectieve bewustwording te stimuleren en uit te dagen tot participatie.
De Betties is een 70-koppig intergenerationeel koor. Door letterlijk hun stem te laten horen plaatst het ‘dementie’ op de maatschappelijke agenda en gaat het een relatie aan met cultuur in de meest ruime zin. Het geheel wordt muzikaal gedragen door muziektherapeuten die dagelijks werken in Huis Perrekes. Zij maken eigen composities, arrangementen op maat voor koor en muzikanten. Het leven van elke dag dient als inspiratiebron voor zowel tekst als muziek.
Zangers van alle leeftijden zingen enthousiast mee: kinderen van de school, bewoners en gasten van Huis Perrekes, familie, medewerkers, vrijwilligers en sympathisanten. Het geheel wordt opnieuw ondersteund door Ardentis Quartet, het cellokwartet dat ontstond naar aanleiding van het denk- en voelmoment tijdens Musica Divina 2025 in Oosterlo.
Huis Perrekes reflects on life’s great moments of truth, continuing a long-standing tradition in which art and culture are interwoven with everyday life.
The aim is to engage, strengthen and connect each person’s abilities, with the ultimate objective of fostering collective awareness and encouraging participation.
De Betties is a 70-member intergenerational choir. By quite literally making their voices heard, its members bring dementia onto the public agenda and engage with culture in its broadest sense. The choir is accompanied by music therapists who work at Huis Perrekes every day. They create original compositions and tailor-made arrangements for the choir and musicians, drawing inspiration for both lyrics and music from everyday life.
Singers of all ages take part with great enthusiasm: local schoolchildren, residents and guests of Huis Perrekes, family members, staff, volunteers and supporters. Once again, they are joined by the Ardentis Quartet, the cello quartet formed following the moment of reflection and connection held during Musica Divina 2025 in Oosterlo.

Book presentation Lise Vandecasteele
I would like to invite you to experience a special afternoon in the garden pavilion of Huis Perrekes. Together with a small musical ensemble I will perform beforehand. We have the honor of receiving Dr. Lise Vandecasteele for the presentation of her book. After the performance Dr. Vandecasteele will talk to all of us, led by moderator Luc Rademakers. We will conclude the afternoon with a reception.

We are excited to announce a special event! Director Bas Devos will present his latest film, Here, at Huis Perrekes. This exclusive screening will be enhanced by live musical accompaniment provided by a small chamber choir, of which Emma Godemont is a member as both conductor and singer.

We warmly invite you to a special book presentation where literature and music come together. Former Prime Minister Mark Eyskens will be in conversation with philosopher Ignaas Devisch about his latest work. This unique event, organized by Huis Perrekes, is open to the public.
The evening will be enhanced by musical accompaniment provided by a small chamber choir, directed by Emma Godemont.
